Call it what it is, TREASON.
Some folks would call it treason. I'm one of them. What is this treason you ask? It's the National Defense Authorization Act that was signed into law by president barack obama. This is the law that allows the military to detain US citizens indefinitely as terrorist or supporters of terrorist. What exactly is a terrorist or what supports terrorist is very vaguely defined. That vague term in times gone past would be unconstitutional, but those days are long gone. It should be noted that when a few of our reps tried to put forth amendments that fully excluded US citizens those amendments were SOUNDLY defeated by both parties.
Section 1021 requires military detainment of al quaida, taliban, associated forces, and any and all 'supporters'. Section 1022 exempts the requirement for US citizens but does not exclude it, its just optional. Both sections cover all of the United States as part of the war zone against terrorist.
The most chilling part that all of us must consider is this administrations definition of a domestic terrorist. If you meet any of these definitions this administration may just consider you a domestic terrorist as they have repeatedly stated over the years. White, Christian, male, ex-military, conservative, libertarian, constitution supporting, limited government supporting, anti-irs, second amendment supporting, gun loving, anti obama, birther, and the list goes on. As you can see its quite easy to get on the terrorist list. Are you on the no fly list? Try to fly and you just may appear in their camps under military guard. Don't submit or object to the TSA touch and feel you could find yourself detained. Makes you feel warm and fuzzy doesn't it?
Probably the most ugly part of all this was the overwhelming bipartisan support this bill had. The majority of both parties voted in favor of this bill, and as I have stated soundly defeated any amendments to this treason. Yes, it's treason committed by our CONgressional reps. against the Constitution of the United States of America. To those who voted for these reps in spite of any past problems they had with their voting records, but they were republicans, hows that working out right now? As I have said before voting for the lesser of two evils IS voting for evil.
Constitutional TREASON is set forth in article III, section 3 as: Treason against the United states, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort. No person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the testimony of two witnesses to the same overt act, or on confession in open court.
So how is this act treason? It willfully violates our constitutional right to a trial by jury and our right to a speedy trial. Under these rule you can be held forever without trial or charges until the war is over. If you get a trial it will be by a military tribunal, not by a jury. Right to see the evidence and witnesses against you? Sorry, national security won't allow it. NOTHING in the Constitution allows congress to deny you your rights, NOTHING! The only way to change our right is by the amendment process, PERIOD!
This is why it's treason against US citizens and their oaths to protect, defend, and obey the Constitution of the United States. Their vote is recorded in the congressional record and witnessed by their fellow congresspersons. The president signed the bill so his signature on the bill condemns him as well as the folks who witnessed him signing the bill. Add his signing statement where he 'promises' not to use the offending sections and you get a clear admission of these parts meaning.
So what do we do? It's clear that talking to our CONgress critters is useless. First of all we need to support anyone running against the traitors. Let the party heads know that these folks are toast. Let them know that voting party line is dead. That's right folks, time to abandon the GOP as they support these establishment traitors. If there's a third party that you can support, then get on that band wagon whole hog. NO MORE VOTING FOR THE LESSER OF TWO EVILS EVER AGAIN! If that's the choice that you have then just refuse to vote. They can't say that they have the consent of the governed if the majority of us refuse to vote for them.
I am taking the public stand against them stating that they have committed treason. I'm sending all of my reps and president obama notices demanding that they resign. I am refusing to submit to federal laws until they are gone and these offending laws are repealed by their replacements. On my blog you will find a PDF that you can send to your offending CONgressional reps and the president if you agree. Just print it out on a Avery postcard blank, address it to your critter, and send it to them. You can also find it on me home page, oneangrytaxpayer.org.

CONgress critter vote for treason.
Howdy all.
I recently contacted my CONgress critters about the provisions in the defense spending bill. It allows the indefinite detention of anyone, including US citizens, designated unprivileged enemy combatants. It includes those caught here in the US. That's right folks, you and me. Arrested, taken away, and never heard from again. No trial, no lawyer, no one knows what happened to you. Write something, like this blog, and you make it on the governments enemies list. White, Christian, male, former military, conservative, libertarian, small government supporting, gun loving, have more than 7 days of food in your house, support constitutional limits on government, prefer gold and silver to paper fake money, your on the list.
Only one critter responded with something other than a robo letter. senator hutchinson responded with the letter below. I guess she is trying to say that we are wrong in our beliefs that US citizens can be held forever. Sorry folks all you have to be is called someone supporting forces engaged in hostilities against US or coalition forces. Even more telling was an amendment by senator Udall that expressly protected US citizens. It was defeated with hutchinson and cornyn voting against the amendment. I accuse them all of treason for this bill. Get on the phone and email NOW! When it passes you can expect that date to be the official MAY DAY date for the US! Just disagree with the way the government is going and end up disappeared into a detention camp. These folks make FDR and Lincoln proud.

Thank you for contacting me regarding the new provisions for detainees proposed in Sections 1031 and 1032 of S. 1253, the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2012. I welcome your thoughts and comments.
Section 1031 of the NDAA establishes guidelines to allow U.S. Armed Forces to detain “covered persons” captured during hostilities as unprivileged enemy combatants, pending disposition under the laws of war. The provision defines a “covered person” as a person who planned, authorized, committed, or aided the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. This provision also applies to individuals who support al Qaeda, the Taliban, or associated forces that are engaged in hostilities against the United States or its coalition partners.
Section 1032 requires U.S. Armed Forces to hold in custody as an unprivileged enemy combatant any person who is a member or part of al Qaeda or an affiliated entity, and who participated in planning or carrying out an attack or attempted attack against the United States or its coalition partners. The requirement does not extend to citizens of the United States. Also, the Secretary of Defense is authorized to waive required detention.
S. 1253 has passed the Senate Armed Services Committee, and is currently awaiting consideration by the full Senate. Should this legislation be brought to the Senate floor, you may be certain that I will keep your views in mind.
